2018 marks a new direction for Triple Peaks. Not only will this challenging Hawke's Bay event be celebrating its 30th anniversary, but organisers are also introducing a new Corporate category, with the chance of winning a $3000 media package for one lucky business.
“We are encouraging companies to get involved; gather together their work colleagues and enjoy a fantastic day out in our stunning countryside,” says Emma Buttle, Co-Director for MCL Construction Triple Peaks. “Not only is it a lot of fun, but it also offers great benefits for the businesses who take up the challenge, and enter a team.”
Ms. Buttle is a firm believer that sporting challenges are advantageous to companies. “By entering a 3 person team in to Triple Peaks, businesses will promote team work, staff camaraderie, improved health & wellbeing of co-workers, and also demonstrate their support for the community.”
“This year, proceeds from MCL Construction Triple Peaks will be going to Te Mata Park Trust, for building and maintaining trails, for all to enjoy.”
“Some businesses are also entering teams of clients and staff, allowing for a great opportunity to network, establish business relationships, as well as having a memorable day out.”
With NZME as sponsor of the Corporate Division, Ms. Buttle is also excited to announce a significant prize package for one lucky business. “Hawke's Bay Today and The HITS have really come to the party, and are giving away a Media Package valued at $3000, for one local business that enters our new Corporate section.”
Event Directors, Emma Buttle and Richards Mills, are introducing a number of changes that they say will cement Triple Peaks as a truly iconic and beneficial event for the region, with 50 percent of entrants coming from out of town.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for the future of Triple Peaks. We wish to ensure MCL Construction Triple Peaks reflects everything that is wonderful about Hawke's Bay.”
“The 2018 MCL Construction Triple Peaks should be on the bucket list of every runner, walker and mountain biker,” adds Mr. Mills. “As a 50 kilometre event, participants can enter as a solo competitor, or in a relay team of 3 people. It is achievable for anyone who owns a bike, or a pair of running shoes. But we do encourage team entrants to start training soon if they can,” he adds.
The 30th Anniversary of MCL Construction Triple Peaks will be taking place on 10 March 2018.
